The Winery

Set between Florence and Siena, in the gently rolling hills of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, the estate enjoys a unique position at the very heart of the Chianti region. This exceptional location brings together a diverse range of microclimates, creating the perfect conditions for crafting wines of remarkable quality and character.

Our Philosophy

At the heart of our philosophy lies a deep respect for Tuscan tradition. We focus on producing authentic, regional wines using native grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Colorino and Black Malvasia—grapes that have shaped the identity of this land for centuries. Our goal is not to follow trends, but to honor the character and soul of Tuscany, preserving its winemaking heritage with dedication and care. Alongside our entry-level wines, which offer immediate approachability and freshness, we also focus on long fermentations and patient aging, crafting wines that are not only expressive in their youth but also have the structure and depth to evolve beautifully over time. This dual approach allows us to honor both everyday enjoyment and the art of aging, resulting in bottles that speak of their origin, deeply rooted in the soil, sun, and seasons of our vineyards—wines capable of telling a story even decades after bottling.

In true Tuscan spirit, our wines are made to be shared around the table, always in harmony with food. Whether paired with a rustic antipasto, handmade pasta, or aged pecorino, each bottle is meant to enhance the meal and the moments that surround it. For us, wine is more than a product—it’s a way of life, a bridge between past and present, tradition and pleasure.

Terroir

The Chianti region, outside the historic Chianti Classico area, offers a diverse and generous terroir that lends itself to producing wines with vibrant character and approachability. Stretching across rolling hills at altitudes between 150 and 500 meters, the vineyards benefit from a mild Mediterranean climate, with warm summers and gentle winters. The soils vary from clay and sand to silt, providing a fertile ground for the region’s main grape, Sangiovese, often blended with traditional varieties like Canaiolo and Colorino, or even international grapes such as Merlot. This balance of tradition and versatility makes Chianti a dynamic expression of Tuscany’s winemaking heritage—accessible, food-friendly, and rooted in a landscape shaped by centuries of rural life.

Vineyards and Olive Groves

In the rolling hills of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, at the heart of Chianti the vineyards are divided into several plots, each with its own exposure, soil composition, and altitude, allowing for a nuanced and diverse expression of the territory. Around 90% of our vineyards are planted with Sangiovese, the quintessential Tuscan grape, known for its elegance, freshness, and longevity. Alongside it, we grow other traditional varieties such as Canaiolo and Colorino, as well as selected international grapes like Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, which add depth and structure to our blends. The combination of varied terroirs and careful vineyard management results in wines with character, balance, and a strong sense of place. Our olive groves, with centuries-old trees, produce a fragrant Extra Virgin olive oil, a true expression of the Tuscan countryside. Together, the vineyards and olive trees form a living mosaic of tradition, passion, and respect for nature.

The Cellar

Our cellar is nestled beneath the old farmhouse, where the authenticity of a traditional Tuscan winery can still be felt in every stone and arch. During the recent renovation, great care was taken to preserve the historic character of the space while subtly integrating modern technologies. Among these are restored and vitrified concrete tanks, which ensure optimal hygiene and functionality without compromising the soul of the original structure. All tanks are temperature-controlled, allowing for longer, slower fermentations, particularly suited to crafting wines with aging potential and deep complexity. Within the cellar, dedicated aging rooms house barriques and tonneaux, where our wines rest and evolve in silence, absorbing the essence of time. This careful balance between tradition and innovation makes our cellar a living space—where the past and future of winemaking meet.
